Abstrakt

The paper presents the Dual-Cycle Model of Identity Formation, a theory formulated in recent years by researchers from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, as well as a questionnaire created to verify the assumptions of this theory -the Dimensions of Identity Development Scale (DIDS). The authors make an overview of results of studies carried out using DIDSand describe the development process of the questionnaire itself. Since DIDSis currently being adapted for application in Poland, reports of the progress of the adaptation process and ratings of the psychometric value of this questionnaire are presented as well.
