Abstrakt

The aim of the study was to examine if the students being abstinent from
drugs differ from experimenting with drugs and drug abused students regarding the
level of happiness and sense of coherence. Additional aim was to verify positive
relationship between sense of coherence and happiness among students using
drugs.
The sample consisted of 105 participants students from different Universities in
Poland. The following tools were used: Sense of Coherence Scale, Cantril Ladder,
Beck Hopelessness Scale and battery of tools created by Czapiński measuring general
feeling of happiness.
Students of being abstinent evaluated themselves as a more happy than experimenting
with drugs and drug abused students. Additionally they have higher level the sense
of coherence than students recruited from other groups. Among students using drugs
sense of coherence were positively related to all global indicators of happiness and
satisfaction with the few areas of life.
